Firstly, we would like to draw your
attention to the TERMS
OF USE of this website.
KARIBA HOUSEBOATS
- TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please read
carefully
We would like you to view your planned Safari as an investment! You
will be investing both your time and money on what, most people
after all, will only do once in a lifetime. We would also like you
to realize that you will be dealing with us directly and not through
an agent, which means we can keep things simple and you get to talk
to the people you are paying money to and not a third party.
When you make your first contact with us, you may be simply
enquiring about a safari or our services and at this time we will
not bother you with a reference number. But, once your enquiry is
with regard payment and cost of a Safari we will issue you with a
unique client reference number that you should then use in ALL
correspondence, including emails. This way we can keep track of
the progress of your dealings with us and with who is looking after
you within the company.
You should note
that communications here in Zimbabwe, and in Africa as a whole, can
be erratic at times and so if you haven't heard from us in a
reasonable amount of time or by when we said we would respond, an
alternative contact office in the UK will confirm for you whether
there is indeed a temporary problem with communications.
Before you actually make
a reservation with us, we will have been in discussion with
you to provide all necessary details about your Safari with a cost
breakdown. Once you are happy and would like to reserve your trip,
please read our Standard Booking Conditions and then provide
us with a clear instruction on your final itinerary decision.
Reservations are then made and held as provisional for a maximum of
14 days.
A provisional booking is confirmed subject to availability
and on receipt of your deposit. On confirmation you will receive a
"Confirmation letter" detailing your final itinerary and
terms of payment for the outstanding balance on your account. We
will then issue you vouchers for any individual activities you have
chosen on your safari on receipt of your final payment.
Our Standard Booking Conditions
are binding in all cases unless otherwise
amended in writing by ourselves. In most cases on safari you will
also be expected to sign individual operator indemnity forms under
which you may surrender certain legal rights - please read this text
carefully.
Read the Standard Booking Conditions...
Only when we have received your deposit will we confirm your
booking. The amount of deposit and terms of payment on the
balance will have been confirmed in the Confirmation letter .
Our usual terms for booking a safari is a
deposit of 10% with the final balance due 45 days prior to
your date of travel. No reservation is confirmed without
prior payment unless agreed to in writing and no vouchers are issued
unless full payment has been received and acknowledged by us.
Your payment can be made using credit card, bank transfers,
traveler's cheques or cash.
Bank Drafts Bank Drafts are often a
cost-effective means of making payment for the larger balance of a
safari arranged with us and were always the traditional payment
method. Funds are held by us in a "client-designated
account". We advise all necessary account details during the
enquiry and reservation process.
Cash and
Traveler's Cheques
We are quite willing to accept cash or
Traveler's Cheques as payment in Zimbabwe for Zimbabwean safaris -
this is often done when making last minute arrangements on the
ground in Kariba or Victoria Falls. Please note that
additional taxes and levies apply for payments on the ground -
Zimbabwean authorities are particularly sticky and a 15% Sales Tax
is an add-on for the client's account. We don't accept Cash or
Traveler's Cheques for safaris in Zambia, Botswana and Namibia.

Our Standard
Booking Conditions
These conditions are binding in all
cases unless otherwise amended and agreed to in writing by
ourselves. Please note that in many cases on arrival at camp
you will be expected to sign an additional operator indemnity
form in addition to binding yourself to the following
conditions.
Sengwa Safaris.
(the "Agent") accepts bookings on behalf of
affiliates and sub-contractors (the "Company")
subject to the following conditions: A provisional booking
will be held for a maximum of 14 days and is confirmed only

instructions together with a minimum 20% deposit (in the case
of group bookings or reservations on
"non-preferential" suppliers, the required deposit
will be advised on initial reservation). Completion of the
Enquiry Form or delivery of instructions constitutes
acceptance of these Booking Conditions on behalf of all
persons as may be named in connection with that booking and
all such persons shall hereinafter be referred to as "the
Client". There shall be no binding contract until the
deposit has been paid. Failure to remit your deposit on time
may result in an automatic release of the confirmed space and
the possible inability to reinstate your reservation. When the

deemed to constitute acceptance and confirmation of the
reservation. The balance of all monies due in relation to the
booking must be paid no later than 45 days before departure or

a tour, charter or safari at any time should such person's

cases, equivalent value substitutes may be offered or
proportional refunds on the total tour price may be made at
the sole discretion of the Agent. Neither the Agent nor the
Company shall be liable for any expenses incurred by the
Client in any such event. Neither the Agent nor Company, nor
